How Parents Can Help Students Meet Standards
- Provide a quiet place for your child
to study or do homework. Make sure your child has all the necessary supplies.
- Set a time to do homework; this will
help your child learn to manage time better.
- Go over homework directions together.
Make sure your child knows what to do.
- Give help when needed, but remember,
homework is your chd's responsibility.
- Check the homework when it is done. Review
anything your child may have had trouble completing.
- Help your child study for tests by asking
sample questions or going over the material to be covered on the test.
- Praise your child for his/her effort.
- Note improvements as well as problems.
